Forum UPGRID-2013: all innovations all together

At the International forum on electricity UPGrid «Mains complex. Innovation. Development ", which was held in Moscow from 29 to 31 October in the IEC" Crocus Expo ", 75 companies from 15 countries presented the latest technology and modern equipment of the electric grid complex. The Forum, organized by JSC "Rossetti" by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation  signed several cooperation agreements, expositions were  attended by more than 5,500 people.

One year has passed since the previous forum UPGrid had become very important in the history of Russian power : a new grid development strategy was approved and " Rossetti” was created . In his welcome address to the participants and guests  the head of " Rossetti " Oleg Budargin said: "We are on the threshold of major changes and major projects . Here we have high hopes for our scientists and designers,  search for new forms of cooperation and equipment to further improve energy efficiency and network availability , reduce losses . "

The rapid development of complex network requires innovation and, in the light of these developments, UPGrid 2013 took on a special significance. Today it is not only a platform for direct dialogue between professionals, but also an important resource for analyzing and selecting the most effective developments, sometimes ahead of time.

The major Russian and foreign companies showed their innovations and new technologies. Among them are ALSTOM GRID, HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES Co., TOSHIBA, LLC "IC" BRESLER », SIEMENS, ABB, OOO NPP" EKRA ", JSc " Electrozavod "RTSoft, JSC" SC Electric Tauris ", LLC" Togliatti Transformer "and others.

One of the highlights of the Forum was the signing of a cooperation agreement between JSC "Rossetti" and SC "Vnesheconombank" on the joint project of the Federal Test Center in Russia. It is planned that the new test center will appear in Russia until the end of 2017 and will be a key platform for testing new equipment and developed in line with international standards.

Also "Rossetti" identified the best innovative projects. First place in the "Promising Innovation Project" was awarded to JSC "FGC UES SEC" for the project in the creation of the Federal Test Center. In the category “Innovation projects" the winner became the company "Eurocontract - High-voltage equipment" with the project complete digital standard modular 10-35 kV substation .

The business program includes representatives of large international companies, the management of "Rossetti" and industry experts who have become members of the panel discussion "International and Russian practice of creating an intelligent network: a synergy effect, where they discussed the practice of creating intelligent networks abroad, and the development of Smart Grid in Russia

In addition, 15 round tables were taken, which have outlined key topics: the development of intelligent networks, attracting young professionals to the innovation and introduction of new technologies in the power grid complex. Recognized international experts on the issues of architecture of intelligent energy systems and its standardization shared experience of building a "smart" networks and the development of advanced electric technologies and solutions.

This year the Forum was attended by representatives of the federal and regional legislative and executive authorities, research organizations, public associations, heads of major network and generation companies, equipment manufacturers and technology, domestic and international experts in the field of electric power.

The results were told by the participants of the forum.

Vladimir Boyko, the director of "smart grid" OOO "Siemens":

- The last exhibition has become a wonderful platform to communicate with our existing and prospective customers, as well as to share experiences with industry experts. The exhibition at the stand and participation in the business program for us and for the producer - is a unique opportunity to tell the experts on innovation and proven solutions "Siemens" about efficient, safe and reliable power supply.

Vladislav Vorotnitsky , the Deputy General Director for Marketing and Sales Company "GC" Tauris Electric " :

- This year's " Tauris Electric" for the first time took part in the forum UpGrid. Recent years there was an acute shortage of such discussion forums to discuss current issues and future directions of development of the domestic electrical networks. The selected format is extremely successful. For three days, participants have the opportunity during the panel discussions to discuss relevant topics with leading industry experts . Those companies that are participating in the exhibition, had a unique chance to salute their innovative design industry leaders . - Forum UpGrid leaves a positive experience . Thanks to the forum , we got a lot of Russian and foreign partners who are willing to cooperate with us .
