In the book the basic design variants of electrical conductors (EC) and cabel central parts (CCP) which are applied are considered or can be applied in manufacture of power cables on alternating voltage up to 35 kV and a constant voltage up to 75 kV.

The universal method of calculation of parameters EC, technological tools and CCPs, and also modern methods of production power cables theoretically proves in the book. Practical application of a universal method of calculation is shown on examples. An overall objective of development of theoretical bases of designing of power cables - maintenance of quality, reliability, safety and the operating time of cable lines.

The book is intended for technical officers of projecting, plant and operational services, and also for students of technical Institutes.

LITERATURE

THE FOREWORD

The present book is written by the author on the basis of results of generalization and the analysis of long-term practical experience of designing and industrial production of energy cables at domestic cable factories and abroad. The basic attention in the book is turned on one of the basic and major operations of cable manufacture - скрутку current-carrying veins and the core of cables of a various design. The author offers a universal method of account of constructive and technological parameters of current-carrying veins of the cables, allowing to carry out optimization of designs of cables at maintenance of high quality and profitability.

Considering increasing influence in modern conditions of the market of cable production on development of manufacture of cables, the author has made an attempt to pay attention of designers and technologists to communication of parameters of current-carrying veins with efficiency of use of cables at the consumer. In this connection the expediency of normalization of electric resistance and nominal section of veins in view of losses of the electric power is shown at operation of a cable. This circumstance brings essential updating in methodology of account of parameters of the veins, accepted in practice of cable factories.

The methodology of account of constructive and technological parameters of veins of cables offered in the book for various scopes possesses universality, it covers all spectrum of variety of types of veins and cores of cables. Accounts of optimum designs of round and shaped veins, including condensed veins, and also accounts of all base types of cores of energy cables are considered.

For simplification of practical application of theoretical bases of designing in the book examples of algorithms of account of parameters of veins and the core of cables of a various design are resulted. It will allow to simplify development of programs for accounts on the COMPUTER.

The offered method of account will allow to eliminate mistakes at definition of weight of metal and other materials in designs of cables which are caused by the normative documentation working in the cable industry.

Terms and the definitions used in the book, are given according to accepted in the normative documentation working in the Russian Federation, and according to accepted in IEC standards (МЭК).

The book is recommended for engineering and technical experts of cable factories, design and design institutes, and also for students.
