IV staff competitions of OJSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” (MOESK) were opened

On June 15th a festive opening of the 4th complex staff competitions of high voltage electric networks of OJSC “MOESK” took place at the territory of the substation “Gorenci” in Balashikhinskiy region of electric networks of the east office of Moscow United Electric Grid Company. Representatives of the portal RusCable.Ru were invited to the ceremony of the opening.

30 best power men of Moscow and Moscow region, which were chosen during the examination of all the power men of MOESK, fought for the title of the best one in their job. This year the staff competitions were devoted to the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The substation was prepared for the carrying out of the event. Within the bounds of the event a mini exhibition of OJSC “MOESK” partners (enterprises that deliver equipment, special machinery and special uniform for power men) was held.

The first assistant of the general director- main engineer of OJSC “MOESK” Anatoliy Chegodaev, minister of power engineering of Moscow region Leonid Neganov, assistant of the head of the fuel and power engineering Department of Moscow Ivan Novitskiy and other representatives of the power engineering Ministry and the fuel and power engineering Department of Moscow took part in the ceremony of the opening.

“Competitions are the final stage of a general preparation of the staff and each member of it gets practical and theoretical knowledge. To come here you have passed through a very rigid selection. And now our judges will have to find out the best from the best among power men of Moscow region. The mixture of two professions- a protection engineer and an operation worker- is the basis for reliability and power system. Only experience and knowledge of these professions will allow to abolish breaches of any difficulty in the quickest time”, Anatoliy Chegodaev noticed. The main engineer of OJSC “MOESK” wished the participants good luck and coordinated team work during the competitions.

Leonid Neganov emphasized: “Nothing stimulates person's mental potential more than the spirit of competitions. In such moments knowledge and skills brace more often”.

While congratulating the participants with the beginning of the competitions Ivan Novitskiy said that the profession of a power man united and MOESK was a company that united the capital and districts near Moscow. “Neither the development of the region and technical progress nor just normal life are possible without power engineering, that is why a lot depends from your labour and hard work”, the assistant of the fuel and power engineering Department of Moscow added in the conclusion.

After an introducing of teams, quests of honour and judiciary board the competitions were announced to be open with hoisting a flag.

After the ceremony of a festive opening Anatoliy Chegodaev, Leonid Neganov and Ivan Novitskiy answered the questions of mass-media representatives.

While answering the questions about the role of such competitions in the development of an electric network complex Mr Neganov said: “MOESK is a system formative network company. The role of MOESK in a regular provision of Moscow and the region is absolutely leading. Such competitions are the best stimulus for the staff to develop and to have opportunities to correlate their skills and abilities with workers of other offices and the whole Russia”.

Mr Chegodaev said that competitions like those were the top of a long preparation and working out of activities of all the staff and they were directed to a revealing of “the best from the best”. According to the analysis of all the activities, individual mistakes would be divided from system ones and the revealing of system mistakes would be the basis for changes in company regulations. Though he emphasized that “system mistakes are extremely rare on such a level”.

Some attention was paid to the first woman, head of the team, in the history of competitions- Konovalova Tatyana Dmitrievna. “This is not a chance, this is just life! And the main engineer of Moscow cable systems is a woman. The more such women will be, the better it is for us”, Mr Chegodaev said.

Summing up the results of the conference and answering questions of RusCable.Ru journalist, Mr Novitskiy drew attention to the role of OJSC “MOESK” in a complex development of the capital and the region: “ All the development is based on power men. The management of such complex industry, especially in the conditions of Moscow, is quite a complicated investment task, but plans of development of city power supply have been discussed. Our fuel and power engineering department with the help of the region have been working on it. So, this task will be solved”.

The fourth competitions continue the tradition of carrying out of professional competitions of the staff of high voltage networks which began in 2007.During this period 47 teams took part in competitions. The main aim is improvement and increase of work quality, experience exchange, inculcation of new forms and methods of management of power equipment.

6 teams took part in the competitions: 4 from regional offices (“East electric networks” (EEN), “West electric networks” (WEN), “South electric networks” (SEN), “North electric networks” (NEN)) and two from Moscow offices (“Central electric networks” (CEN) and “New Moscow”). Every team consisted of 5 people: repair brigade of protection relay and automation (an engineer and a wireman), a controller of an electric network office, a wireman on duty of an operation exit brigade of a group of substations and a head of the team. The judging of the competitions was carried out by the main judiciary commission under the guidance of main judge Anatoliy Chegodaev. For 4 days power men fought for the cup of OJSC “MOESK”, which was handed to the best team on June 19th at a festive ceremony of the closing of the competitions. The winners will take part in Regional staff competitions of OJSC “Rusnets” in Nizhnevartovsk.

At the competitions there were 8 stages, 2 of which were theoretical:

- check of knowledge of active rules, instructions and standards;

- operated switching on a training complex with the use of PEVM;

- rendering of the first medical aid;

- examination of current transformater 110 kV;

- examination of microprocessor protection VL-110kV;

- examination of microprocessor protection of a feeder 6 (10) kV;

- analysis of the work of protection relay and automation during technical disturbance;

- regulation of electromechanical relay.
